Lyn qualified initially as a Tisserand Aromatherapist in 1996 and then as a Reflexologist in 1998 and has been a full time practitioner since then – often combining the therapeutic benefits of essential oils with those of reflexology allowing for a wonderful opportunity to relax, unwind and de-stress – hence her company name AromaReflex!
She has built on her skills by subsequently undertaking in-depth training in Maternity Reflexology and Reproductive Reflexology (ReproflexologyTM) an area she has felt drawn to from the beginning – her very first client was almost due her baby and so started a fascination with all things fertility.
In March 2019 Lyn obtained her Advanced ReproflexologyTM Certificate issued by the AoR and Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her dissertation focused on ‘The Impact of Stress on the Menstrual Cycle.’ She chose this topic because, whilst there were no underlying causes for infertility within a large number of her female client base (unexplained infertility), the common denominator appeared to be stress of one form or another. Stress, be it physical, psychological or emotional, if left unchecked, can have a devastating effect upon reproductive hormones – with specific changes in lifestyle and diet in conjunction with Reproflexology it is possible to reduce stress, improve hormone levels and the quality of the eggs being produced.
Lyn has extensive experience working with fertility issues such as irregular periods, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), unexplained infertility, secondary infertility and recurrent early miscarriage – Also in supporting women from early conception, through all stages of pregnancy and post-natal care.
She is passionate about sharing well researched information to help women and men optimise health and seek medical help where appropriate. Once she has carried out a thorough consultation she provides fully tailored treatment plans for moving one or both parties forward, to help underlying conditions and enhance natural fertility or to support assisted fertility treatment. Through reflexology and her holistic approach, she enables clients to feel more relaxed, positive and in control on their path towards parenthood.
She is a Full Member and former Board Member of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists (ARR). Also a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
Lyn practises from a tranquil room at home in central Surbiton and in Summer, weather permitting, in her beautiful garden room. But, for the moment, she is carrying out new consultations and supporting existing clients online.
