I qualified as a Tisserand Aromatherapist in 1996 and as a Reflexologist in 1998 and have been in full time practise since then – often combining the therapeutic benefits of essential oils with those of reflexology allowing for a wonderful opportunity to relax, unwind and de-stress – hence my company name AromaReflex!
I’ve built on my skills by subsequently undertaking in-depth training in Maternity Reflexology and Reproductive Reflexology (ReproflexologyTM) an area I’ve felt drawn to right from the beginning – my very first client was almost due her baby and so started a fascination with all things fertility.
In March 2019 I obtained my Advanced ReproflexologyTM Certificate issued by the AoR and Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland. My dissertation focused on ‘The Impact of Stress on the Menstrual Cycle.’ I chose this topic because, whilst there were no underlying causes for infertility within a large number of my female client base (unexplained infertility), the common denominator appeared to be stress of one form or another. Stress, be it physical, psychological or emotional, if left unchecked, can have a devastating effect upon reproductive hormones – with small changes to lifestyle and diet over a three month period, in conjunction with Reproflexology, it is possible to significantly reduce stress, improve hormone levels and egg and sperm quality and really boost your chances of having a successful pregnancy.
I have extensive experience working with fertility issues such as irregular and absent cycles, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), unexplained infertility, secondary infertility and recurrent early pregnancy loss – also in supporting women from early conception, through all stages of pregnancy and post-natal care.
I am passionate about sharing well researched information to help women and men optimise health and seek medical help where appropriate. Once I’ve carried out a thorough consultation I provide fully tailored treatment plans for moving one or both parties forward, to help underlying conditions and enhance natural fertility or to support assisted fertility treatment. Through reflexology and my holistic approach, I enable my clients to feel more relaxed, happier and in control on their path towards parenthood.
I’m a Full Member and former Board Member of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists (ARR). Also a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
I am also delighted to be on the panel of experts for the Fertility Circle as an advocate for Reproductive Reflexology. The Fertility Circle is a global community and a platform for anyone experiencing fertility issues. We connnect, support and empower people to make the journey that little bit easier.
I practise from a tranquil room at home in central Surbiton and in Summer, weather permitting, in my beautiful garden room. Online consultations and ongoing support are available for those who prefer to stay at home during these difficult times. Please see my website for further details.
